These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the free Curiously Artistic cribbage game available at play.curiouslyartistic.com and through our online store (the “Game”). The Game is operated by Curiously Artistic (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
1. The Game
The Game is a free entertainment and learning experience inspired by the traditional card game cribbage. It currently offers computer opponents, guided scoring, more advanced manual scoring, and optional player accounts for saving statistics. Features may change or expand over time. Online multiplayer, community features, rankings, and other capabilities are not promised unless actually made available.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The Game is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with your parent or legal guardian's permission. You may play as a guest without an account. If you create an account or sign in through Google or another supported provider, you are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for activity conducted through your account. Provide a player name that does not impersonate others or contain unlawful, harassing, or abusive content.
3. Fair play and acceptable use
Use the Game for lawful, personal entertainment. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access to other accounts, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt other players or our services, use automated requests to manipulate statistics, or submit content that violates others' rights. We may restrict access or remove misleading results or inappropriate player names to protect the Game and its community.
4. Scoring and statistics
Card draws are intended to simulate a shuffled deck; individual results and winning streaks will vary. Beginner scoring aids and advanced counting or muggins features are provided for entertainment and learning. Gameplay statistics are based partly on data reported by the player's device, and they may be approximate, incomplete, reset, or affected by disconnections or software errors. We do not guarantee that any recorded score or leaderboard is independently verified. Games played as a guest may be saved only in that browser and may not be recoverable if its data is cleared.
5. No gambling or cash prizes
The Game is free to play and does not offer betting, gambling, real-money wagers, or cash prizes. No product purchase is necessary to use the Game. Shopping for physical Curiously Artistic products is separate and subject to the terms and policies shown in the online store.
6. Intellectual property
The Game's original artwork, board photography, branding, layout, software, and other protected content belong to Curiously Artistic or their respective rights holders. You receive a limited, revocable, nonexclusive permission to use the Game for personal purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, commercially exploit, or claim ownership of our original materials without permission, except as permitted by law.
7. Third-party sign-in and services
Optional third-party login providers, including Google, are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. The Game also uses hosting and account infrastructure from service providers. We cannot guarantee those third-party services will always be available. Your use of the Game is also subject to our Game Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, modify, or discontinue all or part of the Game, including features, compatibility, account systems, and statistics. We work to provide a reliable experience but cannot guarantee continuous access, error-free operation, preservation of every guest game, or permanent availability of specific features.
9. Disclaimer and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Game is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted service or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Curiously Artistic is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the free Game. Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
10. Account concerns and termination
You may stop using the Game at any time. Contact us if you wish to request deletion of your account or associated records. We may suspend accounts or restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security issues, or violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, except where mandatory local consumer protection rules apply. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
12. Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms as the Game develops. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Game after revised Terms become effective indicates acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
